Tablet press design has been mechanically modified to perform under strict production guidelines in order to help eliminate operator exposure to hazardous pharmaceutical products. System features: no mechanical disassembly of press parts during press operation; containment begins at the top of the press in the supply hopper region; rotating nozzles for pressure washing of the tablet compression containment department; internal washing of the material hoppers; internal and external cleaning of the feed shoes; upper cams, lower cams, and punch guides are cleaned; redesigned interior compression compartment to improve interior drying and reduce the number of press parts for quicker cleaning.
